ON TOUR AGAIN!! 1. Stop: Dubai + Bangkok

Nach 6 schoenen Wochen zu Hause geht unsere Reise in die zweite Phase. Diesmal steht (Suedost) Asien auf dem Programm. Da uns der Hinflug nach Bangkok ueber Dubai fuehrte, schalteten wir gleich zwei Tage Reisepause ein, um uns die Wueste und den Groessenwahn des Oehlimperiums anzuschauen. Es war in der Tat gewaltig zu sehen, was alles mit Geld moeglich ist und es scheint kein Ende zu nehmen. Die Plaene werden immer skuriler und ausgeflippter (z.B. Unterwasser-Shoppingmall) und das wahnsinnige daran ist: Es wird auch wirklich in die Tat umgesetzt!! Wir verbrachten die zwei Tage mit Stadtrundfahrt und Wuestensafari.
Dann gings weiter nach Bangkok, da ist so ziemlich alles anders als in Dubai aber die Leute sind sehr freundlich und die Stimmung - mal vom Verkehrschaos abgesehen - sehr gemuetlich. Einfach die Hitze machte uns die ersten Tage (oder v.a. Naechte) zu schaffen. Deshalb freuten wir uns auch auf den Weiterflug Richtung Philippinen, sprich Sonne, Strand, Meer!!

After 6 nice weeks at home our journey goes on. This time we plan to travel around (Southeast) Asia. On our way to Bangkok we stoped in Dubai where we spent 2 days to visit the desert an the incredible city. It is really amazing what is possible with all the money out of oil... the plans get more and more skurill, e.g the plan an underwater-shopping-mall...We spent the two days with city tour and desert safari.
After that we went on to Bangkok, where almost everything is different to Dubai. But we liked the style of the people and the city - except of the tremendous traffic...just the heat was really tuff and it kept us awake at night. So we were happy to fly on to the Philippines after a couple of days, where nice beaches and beautiful water was waiting for us...
